Know whether the technical story is real before capital commits.

A deal team is told the product is almost ready, the CDMO can support the volume, and the manufacturing process is scalable. Those statements aren't always true. Whether you're a private equity sponsor, a growth-stage venture investor, or a family office investing directly, we give you an independent answer, hands-on, before you sign.

FLAGSHIP OFFERING

Medical Device Technical Due Diligence

Hands-on assessment of a target's product design maturity, regulatory and quality posture, and manufacturing readiness, including a hands-on walk of the production line, not just a document review. Management interviews, technical-document review, manufacturing/CDMO assessment, and risk evaluation, ending in an executive readout. Scoped to fit a control buyout, a growth round, or a direct investment.

TRANSLATING FINDINGS

Post-Close Integration & Execution Planning

After an acquisition, diligence findings become a practical roadmap for aligning engineering, quality and manufacturing operations in the first 100 days after close. After a minority or growth investment, they become a milestone-based execution plan that the board and management can track together.

Sample diligence read-out

RISK RATING — ILLUSTRATIVE
Product Design-control documentation is current; V&V for the next-gen catheter tip is 70% complete with no open failures. Green
Regulatory / Quality QMS is ISO 13485 certified; CAPA backlog is growing faster than it's closing ahead of an EU MDR renewal. Yellow
Manufacturing Pilot-line yield is solid; the process has not been demonstrated at the volumes the model assumes. Yellow
Organization Two engineers hold irreplaceable process knowledge with no documented succession or transfer plan. Red
CDMO Contract terms and technology-transfer rights are well defined; capacity commitments are verified. Green
Illustrative example only — not an actual client engagement.
WHAT THIS WOULD MEAN FOR THE DEAL

Could break the thesis: if either of those two engineers leaves before or shortly after close, the process-knowledge gap could stall commercial ramp for two to three quarters.

What we'd recommend: make a documented knowledge-transfer plan a condition of close, not a post-close nice-to-have.

Typical duration: 10 business days
Format: concise executive decision document, not a 200-page report
Who we work with: private equity, venture capital & family-office investors
CDMO-NEUTRAL

We do not compete with your target's CDMO and never will — the read-out is built to help you manage that relationship, not replace it.
